Worked with service teams in each of the offices developing new business opportunities, designing and broking client specific risk financing programs, coordinating resources, implementing client service plans, preparing and presenting stewardship reports, and managing the client service calendar to ensure that projects and service work are completed on time.
- Established, managed, and serviced customers and prospects of the risk financing and alternative risk transfer practices.
- Formalized customer service standards including loss forecasting, reserve analysis, captive pro formas and feasibility, quantitative risk analysis, coverage specifications, and cost benefit analysis.
- Developed a formalized risk financing practice to specialize exclusively on the healthcare industry including acute care, long term care, assisted living, and physicians.
- Served as senior principal of the national healthcare practice developing and optimizing risk funding solutions during all phases of the medical malpractice capacity crisis which occurred between 2001 and 2004. Solutions included integrated excess programs, risk retention groups, captive insurance programs, finite risk structures, risk purchasing groups, and capital market contingent capital structures.
- Formed Chatham Atlantic Re, a Bermuda NCFC single parent captive insurance company to handle run off programs from agency acquisitions including E&O risk, and legacy Legion Insurance programs. Set up the “MGU” program with a national carrier and was responsible for underwriting, state and regulatory filings, prepared and processed monthly bordereau, oversaw claims audits, etc.
