Goals

Goals for meeting my vision include:

  • Communicate the vision.  The vision is the basis for everything that is done.  It lies at the heart of the team, internal and external stakeholder relations, the community, and organizational interaction.
  • Education.  Internal and external education makes for a better team.  Education is not limited to a specific industry but includes government regulatory issues, reimbursement, staff and labor relations, finance and cash flow implications.  Education gives us a common point of reference and a framework of understanding regarding individual strengths and weaknesses.
  • Reputation.  Reputation affects the way we are viewed by our customers, by our employees, by our investors and by the public.  Reputation is ethics, integrity, servant leadership, honesty, communication, reliability and trust. Our reputation is something that we do not take for granted and is something that we practice at work and at home in our actions, words and deeds.
  • Community Responsibility. We are devoted to growing and developing sustainable communities through education, training, and participation in charitable programs and services.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience.  Interact and communicate with our customers and their internal and external stakeholders by providing a vertically integrated suite of services, products and tools that extend beyond traditional insurance services and address their business needs.
  • Industry Change Agent. Challenge the status quo of the industry and industry practices including Risk Management, Brokers, and Insurance Companies. Define standard of care to include customer service, communication, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Revenue and Expenses.  We are stewards of the organization’s funds and are responsible for managing our expenses.  We must be able to balance internal risk tolerance with adequate balance sheet protection and to minimize cost of risk.  When applicable we must generate revenue for the organization through consulting, service fees, and other sources.
